There is a tourist train that runs from Gällivare in the north to Kristinehamn in the south a distance of around 1364 km (848 miles) Doro Camping has it’s own little halt. To stop the train to get on you signal the driver from those steps and to alight you tell one of the onboard tourist guides who then informs the drive. There is only one train each way per day and the whole trip, from beginning to end takes around thirteen hours. We had wanted to go but it would have meant booking hotels etc and the train itself cost a small fortune without adding one or two nights in a hotel.
